Gabriela and Andre

Dear Guests,

We welcome you to browse through our galleries. We are passionate photographers and our aim is to share with you our love for nature and those special moments we capture during our travels. We hope that our images will entice you to travel more, see more, enjoy wildlife and appreciate the wondrous yet fragile environment of Southern Africa.
As photographers, few activities provide us with as much happiness as taking off to a remote destination such as the Kalahari Transfrontier Park. This is where the majority of our photographs were taken and this is where we tend to forget ourselves when contemplating nature at its best. Our photographic ambition is to encourage you to rediscover those creatures you normally see on TV, to learn of their behaviour from our stories and images (as opposed to books and travel magazines),since some of us have little or no appreciation of what they do and what they are capable of. We dare you to abandon your perspectives and shift to a more natural outlook...
Our galleries include images from the Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Park, the St. Lucia Wetlands, Mkuze Game Reserve, Limpopo Province, Kruger National Park, Chobe National Park, Caprivi Strip, Maun, and numerous places in Northern KZN.
Why KZN? Well, we are based in Northern KZN and our home is situated in a little village by the name of Hluhluwe. In the province of KwaZulu Natal one may visit more than 80 protected wildlife areas where representative samples of all the ecosystems occur naturally in the wild. We spend hours in our Landrover or portable hide in order to capture those images as we bring them to you. Soon our website will present you with the stories behind the pictures. It is our pleasure and delight to share with you images of Nature, images of all that which is more powerful than us, images that arouse awe and respect at times. Even when we are not in the mighty Kalahari, we discover sublime places and landscapes that unfold and leave us feeling small. Such experiences teach us to accept our limitations. They also teach us that our Universe is greater than we are, and thus we become inspired by the things we see, things greater than ourselves.
Allow us - Gabriela and Andre - to share with you the natural world as we experience it, and let your response be moulded by what you see and how you feel when viewing the images we carefully selected for you. Kindly grace us with a comment or two, your feedback is much appreciated and we will do our best to reply to your observations and suggestions.

Thank you for visiting our website,

Gabriela Plesea and Andre Pretorius
